A vapour barrier, or vapour diffusion retarder, consists of a material which detains or controls water vapour.<\/p>\n
Any material which retains water on a damp surface to keep another material dry may be considered a \u201cvapour barrier\u201d.<\/p>\n
It can consist of a solid foam insulation panel, treated laminated wood, plastic or stainless steel, as well as various coatings of paint,\u00a0 sheets of plastic, aluminium or paper coated with asphalt.<\/p>\n
ANTI-CONTAMINANT GEOTEXTILES<\/h3>\n
Geotextiles are permeable synthetic textiles of various materials (fiberglass \u2013 FV, Polypropylene \u2013 PP, Polyester \u2013 PY) largely resistant to tension and puncturing, with excellent hydraulic properties.<\/p>\n
There are two types: fabric and non-fabric. Designed with specific properties adaptable to different applications\/uses within the sphere of each project.<\/p>\n
The main uses of fabric geotextiles are in the formation of structures on reinforced floors and the separation and stabilization of subgrades on roads and foundations.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, non-fabric geotextiles are principally used as a separation sheet, drainage \u2013 filtering, protection of geomembranes and repaving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
